Hello, hello! August is Breastfeeding Awareness Month. When I first found out I was pregnant with the kid, I knew – without a doubt – that I would breastfeed (or at least try). I don’t know if it was because I was working at a hospital and knew the benefits, or if I was convinced by all the pro-breastfeeding advertising on the baby websites I was frequenting. Either way, I’d made the decision that I was going to try my hardest to nurse him for a year.
This, of course, meant that after my eight weeks of maternity leave were up, that I’d be pumping at work. BTW, You never know humility, until you’re sitting at your desk, with the office door closed, hooked up to a machine like a glorified milk cow.
